Date: Thursday, 22 September 2011
Location: The Stud House, Hampton Court

About the event:
The Gala is one of the most successful fundraisers in the London social calendar. The involvement with Vanity Fair this September brought a new dimension and additional glamour to the event. The Gala’s costs are privately funded and all money raised through ticket sales and the auction, go directly to the causes supported by the charity.
Purpose of event
The Gala is the main fundraising event for the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation. The night provides the Foundation with vital resources to invest in detection, treatment, control and welfare of children afflicted with cancer in Russia, the UK and further afield. The Foundation supports institutes, hospitals, hospices and caring service providers to ensure that no barriers stand in the way of treatment. Half of the proceeds from the evening will go to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Previous Galas
Past performers have included Elton John, Andrei Makarevich, Chrissie Hynde, Mary J Blige, Basement Jaxx, Andre Gavrilov, the Scissor Sisters and the Black Eyed Peas, Bryan Ferry and Simon Le Bon.
